Fir essential oil
Common fir or silver fir is native to the mountainous regions of Europe. It measures between 20 and 50 metres and can reach 60 metres in height. Its trunk is straight and columnar, without branches on the lower section, and up to 6 metres in circumference, with smooth, ash-grey to whitish bark and resin blisters; the bark darkens and cracks in older specimens.
Properties
Fir essential oil is indicated for rheumatism and muscular pain. It has a very balsamic and characteristically sweet scent, and helps combat fluid retention.
It has excellent properties for the skin, making it a natural remedy for correcting blemishes, spots or acne.
