Description

Wild chamomile grows naturally in North Africa, but also in Europe, particularly in France, Spain and Portugal.

The essential oil is produced in Morocco. The plant's flowers are distilled during their flowering period in spring and early summer to ensure the highest concentration of aromatic and therapeutic components.
Despite its common name, it should not be confused with other varieties of chamomile, such as Roman or German chamomile. Its daisy-like flowers are a rich source of essential oil with unique properties.

Appearance: Dark yellow

Solubility: Soluble in alcohol or oil, insoluble in water.

Precautions

Do not use during pregnancy or on children under 6 years of age.

Taxonomy

Botanical name: Chamaemelum mixtum - Family: Asteraceae - Genus: Chamaemelum

Well known as Ormenis mixta, its botanical name was changed to the currently accepted Chamaemelum mixtum, leaving Ormenis mixta as a synonym.

The INCI on current labelling may still appear as "Ormenis mixta".
