Description

Our furanocoumarin-free Lemon Essential Oil is obtained by cold-pressing fresh peel, preserving the natural profile of its volatile compounds. It then undergoes selective molecular redistillation, specifically removing the furanocoumarins responsible for skin photosensitisation, such as bergapten.

The result is an oil with the aroma and composition of freshly squeezed lemon, but without the risk of skin reactions to sun exposure, even in leave-on cosmetics.

What Makes It Different?

Unlike conventional lemon essential oil, the furanocoumarin-free version does not contain the main phototoxic molecules. It can be confidently incorporated into:

Face or body creams
Serums, toners and massage oils
Natural perfumes and everyday products

The process does not alter the monoterpenes or alcohols responsible for the scent profile. The result is an authentic, functional oil suitable for safe use in natural cosmetics.
