Description
Neem or nim powder is obtained from the leaves of Azadirachta indica, a tree in the Meliaceae family also known as Indian margosa. Its Hindi name means “village pharmacy”.It is particularly used on the scalp to eliminate dandruff, itching and irritation. It also acts against lice because it is antiparasitic (and is insecticidal thanks to a secondary metabolite called azadirachtin, which acts as an antinutrient).
It is also notable for use in skin problems (dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, hives and fungal infections), particularly on oily, combination or acne-prone skin, where it acts as a purifying and antibacterial agent.

- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
