Description
Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide naturally present in the body, forming part of numerous tissues and organs, including joints, cartilage and skin.
Our hyaluronic acid is 100% plant-derived, obtained by fermenting wheat peptone without using genetically modified raw materials (Non GMO). It is suitable for vegans.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a linear, macromolecular mucopolysaccharide composed of repeating disaccharide units of glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine.
It is a clear, highly hygroscopic gel. Fairly soluble in water, practically insoluble in acetone and anhydrous ethanol.Properties and uses of high-molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid can retain water at thousands of times its own weight. It is therefore used to hydrate the epidermis, as it rebuilds the fibres supporting skin tissue.
As an excellent moisturiser and lubricant, it noticeably improves skin characteristics, providing softness, tone and elasticity.
High-molecular-weight acid penetrates less deeply into the skin, but its moisturising and wrinkle-smoothing ability is excellent.
It also promotes collagen production, multiplying its rejuvenating effect.
Because of its regenerating and wound-healing effect, it is also used to reduce scars from severe acne and other skin problems.
It can also reduce redness, pain and inflammation.
It can be added to almost any cosmetic product: creams, lotions, essences, foams, shampoos, masks, serums, etc.
Do not heat above 70°C.
Recommended Dosage
This high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid is already diluted to 1%, so it can be used directly if desired. The use level for pure high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid is 0,01 to 3%, so the diluted product falls within that range. Topical use.
Side effects
At the recommended doses, it is neither irritating nor skin-sensitising.
