Description
Tegobetaine is an amphoteric surfactant derived from coconut fatty acids, with a slightly yellowish colour and a somewhat viscous consistency.Active surfactant content: 39%
Its amphoteric nature means that it behaves differently depending on the pH of the product being made. This is important to bear in mind: at an acidic pH, it behaves like a cationic surfactant, while at an alkaline pH it behaves like an anionic surfactant.
Amphoteric surfactants have the advantage of being compatible with all surfactant types. They are non-irritating and relatively unaffected by water hardness, making them very suitable for the whole family's hygiene.
We have always offered the high-concentration version (39% active matter compared with the conventional 27%), not only for its higher active content but also for the additional purification process that makes it suitable for oral hygiene products. This is why it produces more, richer, denser foam and goes further, giving you good reason to prefer it ;).
To offer a product similar to those typically found on the market, we will introduce Coconut Tegobetaine with an active matter content of 27 - 29%, although it will not be suitable for dental hygiene.
Solubility: Very soluble in water; readily soluble in alcohol or oil according to the technical sheet.
