Description

SLMI (Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate) is a sulphate-free anionic surfactant, supplied here in flakes. It can be used as a primary surfactant or combined with other surfactants.

It is valued for its creamy lather and ease of rinsing. Depending on the chosen formulation system, it can be used in solid or liquid shampoos, facial cleansers and bath preparations.

Use in formulations

  • Disperse gradually to avoid lumps and airborne dust.
  • Incorporation may require warm water, stirring and hydration time.
  • Select the proportion according to the technical data sheet and the desired total active matter.
  • Check pH, stability, the intended clarity and tolerance before scaling up production.

Translated review. Since discovering it 2 years ago, I have used it for all kinds of cleaning products, solid shampoos, facial soaps, washing-up liquids... It makes exceptional foam and is very gentle on even the most delicate skin. Mi Cosmética Casera stocks surfactants I have not found anywhere else. The customer service is exceptional too, which makes them unique. I placed an order and accidentally added a product twice. Excepcional para champús, jabón facial solidos y muy contenta con la atención al cliente.

Desde que lo conocí hace ya 2 años, lo utilizo para todo tipo de productos de limpieza, champús sólidos, jabones faciales, fregaplatos... Hace una espuma excepcional y es muy suave con la piel mas delicada. Mi cosmetica casera tiene tensioactivos que yo no he encontrado en ningún otro sitio, además la atención al cliente es excepcional, los hace únicos. Hice un pedido y repetí sin querer un producto, los llame para ver como lo podiamos solucionar y enseguida me dieron una solución. El pedido ha llegado hoy con el cambio que pedí.

Pros (original): Buena espuma Apto para piel sensible y piel de bebe. El cabello lo deja suelto y con brillo. Los geles o champús liquidos quedan transparentes .

Cons (original): Viene en escamas y hay que triturarlo antes de utilizarlo pero merece la pena.

Translated review. It comes in large flakes, and I wanted to make solid shampoo. I tried dissolving it in a water bath, but it will not dissolve. Could someone explain how they use it in solid and liquid shampoos? I suppose it needs grinding first.

No he podido usarlo

Cómo viene en escamas grandes quería hacer un champú sólido, he intentado deshacerlo al baño maría, pero no hay manera que se deshaga. Podría alguien decirme cómo lo usan en champús sólidos y en líquidos? Supongo que habrá que molerlo antes.

Aún no lo he usado, esperaba indicación para su uso al no ser en polvo, pero no venía en el paquete, lo quiero para champú sólido imagino que tendré que pulverizarlo.
