Description

Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate is a 100% naturally based polyglyceryl ester of capric acid, obtained from plants. It is approved by COSMOS (Ecocert) for use in natural cosmetics.

It is an ecological and sustainable alternative to polysorbates as a dispersing or emulsifying agent.

Mi Cosmética Casera Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate is a PEG-free, non-ionic ingredient that acts as an emollient or solubiliser
Used in personal care products, it provides emollience, softness and elasticity to the skin.

It helps emulsify essential oils in water, for example, without applying heat.

It is also ideal for making micellar waters or facial toners, replacing PEGs such as sulphated castor oil, or even for making liquid soaps and wet wipes.

Directions for use

Recommended use level: from 0,5% to 10%, depending on the desired cosmetic product.

It is insoluble in oil or isopropyl myristate, but very soluble in water, ethanol and propanediol. It should therefore preferably be incorporated into the aqueous phase unless it is required for preparing a bath oil, in which case it is added to the oil phase.

The optimum working pH range is between 5 and 8.
