Description

There are few hydrolats that we do not source directly from the producer, but Neroli (and Rose) is an exceptional case because a 1:1 ratio is guaranteed. This means that each Kg of plant material yields one Kg of hydrolat, ensuring a high concentration and an impeccable scent.

Since October 2025, we have sent the hydrolats from their origin to a laboratory in Spain for membrane microfiltration and stabilisation with potassium sorbate (at 0,5%), allowing them to be enjoyed for much longer.

What is a hydrolat? Hydrolats are the water obtained during essential oil distillation. They consist of 99% water, with the remaining 1% containing a small proportion of the constituents of the distilled essential oil.

Hydrolats are often confused with waters, mainly because in other countries they are called floral waters. Waters may be natural and/or synthetic, whereas a hydrolat is obtained naturally during the usual essential oil distillation process. Hydrolats cost more and, without a preservative, have a much shorter shelf life (between 6 months and a year) than synthetic floral waters.
