Description
The maca plant (Lepidium meyenii) is a type of cress in the crucifer family (Brassicaceae).
The root contains between 13 and 16% protein and a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, particularly omega-3 fatty acids.
Maca is also rich in antioxidants, minerals such as calcium and zinc, iodine, iron, copper and manganese, and vitamins B2, B5 and C. It combines more than 60 different vital substances.
