Description

This plant, whose stinging hairs most of us know and have often avoided, has many properties that are unknown to many people.
Not many years ago, our grandparents and parents used it as an insecticide in gardens and vegetable plots. Although this use has now been forgotten, there are always people who keep their traditions alive. Another use, perhaps better known to country walkers, is to stop nosebleeds with gauze soaked in an infusion of the plant and then inserted into the nasal cavity. These and many other remedies were popular and widely used.
Today, we are trying to rediscover some of its cosmetic properties, as it is also rich in vitamins A, C and K, which are very beneficial for the skin and hair.
These are some of its uses:
- Skin cleansing
- Helps combat acne, eczema and even psoriasis.
- Also helps with dandruff.
- Used in shampoos and conditioners to combat hair loss.
