Description
High-purity anhydrous lanolin, refined for cosmetic use, with no added BHT and very low peroxide values. It provides emollience, water absorption and a barrier effect in intensive skin and lip care formulas.
Purified anhydrous lanolin is a natural ester of fatty acids and fatty alcohols obtained from sheep's wool grease (certified Animal Welfare), subjected to distillation and refining processes to remove impurities, pesticides and unwanted odours.
It is characterised by its high water-absorption capacity (more than 200 % of its weight), making it an exceptional humectant and emollient for skincare formulations. It forms a semi-permeable protective film that helps restore the skin's barrier function and improves elasticity.
With its high purity (> 99 %) and low acid and peroxide values, this lanolin has an orange colour and characteristic odour, ideal for demanding cosmetic applications. It is free from colourants, preservatives, CMR substances, nanoparticles and listed allergens, and has not been subjected to ionising radiation or tested on animals.
Recommended for lip balms, ointments, salves, repairing creams and hair products requiring maximum hydration and protection.
Recommendations for use
- Oil phase: at a use level of 2% to 15%.
- 2% - 5% in creams and lotions.
- 5% - 15% in balms, ointments and lip products
Solubility: insoluble in water; fat-soluble and dispersible in oils and organic solvents.
Compatibility: excellent for W/O emulsions, ointments and anhydrous products.
