Jasmine Sambac / Arabian Jasmine Absolute

Description

The word “jasmine” means “gift from God” in Persian. The flower and its aroma were particularly valued in antiquity; it was used as an ornamental plant and for medicinal purposes. Its fragrance was valued for its harmonising and aphrodisiac properties.

A symbol of love, beauty, eroticism and temptation, jasmine is associated with the magic of the night, which is precisely why this flower is also called the “queen of the night”.

In China, women scented their hands with jasmine oil to stimulate creativity.
In India, it has been used to protect against negative energies. There, Kama, the god of eroticism, like Cupid, shoots arrows laden with jasmine and rose flowers at his victims.

Alongside rose, jasmine is one of the most prized flowers in perfumery.
Jasmine absolute has an intoxicating, sweet, penetrating and seductive aroma. It leaves no one indifferent: it inspires enthusiasm, sometimes even euphoria, or quite the opposite. There is no middle ground with jasmine: it is all or nothing.

Jasmine absolute is not widely used in aromatherapy. It can be chosen for applications in olfactology.

USES

Through smelling the aroma and applications in olfactology (psycho-emotional wellbeing).


Jasmine absolute is sufficient on its own, but some combinations can be interesting.

It is preferable not to use it in a diffuser because of its price and the viscosity of the absolute.

To simply enjoy its beautiful, inspiring aroma, in a 5 ml roll-on:
3 drops of jasmine absolute
Top up with jojoba oil.

Use as a perfume, applying to the neck, behind the ears and on the wrists.

For low mood, lack of confidence and creativity:

1 drop of jasmine absolute
6 drops of orange blossom essential oil
Top up with jojoba oil.

“Sex appeal”: sexual desire and eroticism

1 drop of jasmine absolute
1 drop of rose essential oil
10 drops of Fragonia essential oil
5 ml of jojoba oil

Use as a perfume, applying to the neck, behind the ears and on the wrists.

Appearance: Clear liquid, light yellow to light brown.

Precautions

Do not use during pregnancy or on children under 12 years of age.
