Description

Known as the “Elixir of Life”, blackcurrant or cassis is highly valued in cosmetics as an adaptogen for mature and sensitive skin. Its ability to soothe inflammation and strengthen the skin barrier makes it ideal for products designed to protect and revitalise the skin.

Cosmetic Applications

Concentrated blackcurrant extract is an ideal active ingredient for sensitive, inflamed and mature skin, helping soothe and rejuvenate it. It also acts as an adaptogen, strengthening the skin barrier against external damage. It can be added as an active ingredient to creams or gels at a concentration of 2 to 5%.
Note: It is not oil-soluble and must therefore be incorporated into the aqueous phase of formulations.

Recommendations for Cosmetic Use

To obtain its cosmetic benefits, add 2 to 5% to creams, gels or topical products. Carry out a sensitivity test before application.

Precautions:

  • Do not use during pregnancy without supervision from a healthcare professional.
  • Not recommended in cosmetic products for children under 12 years of age without appropriate advice.
  • EXTERNAL USE - DO NOT INGEST.
