Description

Ajowan is native to India and is also found in Nepal and Afghanistan under extreme climatic conditions. It belongs to the Apiaceae family and is known as Indian thyme.
In India, it is widely used for various health problems and is considered a true panacea. According to Ayurvedic medicine, it brings courage, strength, energy and enthusiasm.
The essential oil is extracted from the seeds and its biochemical composition is comparable to that of common thyme of the thymol chemotype.
