Description
Sea Fennel is a perennial plant that grows in coastal areas of Europe, particularly around the Mediterranean. It is distinguished by its fleshy leaves and resistance to saline conditions. It has been used in traditional medicine since ancient times for its many properties.
In Mallorca, it is eaten pickled and accompanies the popular "Pa amb oli" (a selection of cold cuts and cheeses from the Balearic Islands served with brown bread and olive oil). It is rich in vitamin C and was formerly recommended for relieving urinary discomfort.
Our Wild Organic Sea Fennel comes from coastal areas of Greece. It is selected and harvested by hand to preserve the plant for the following season, yielding an essential oil of high biological value.
It has a fresh, herbaceous aroma reminiscent of the sea breeze and coastal vegetation.

Solubility: Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol and oil
