Description

Spicy basil is native to several tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia, and is valued for its culinary, medicinal and ornamental uses.
The essential oil obtained from the plant is characterised by a pronounced presence of Eugenol.
In Madagascar, the plant and its essential oil are traditionally used for medicinal purposes and oral hygiene.
