Description

For juniper lovers who do not require a premium grade, this excellent juniper oil is made from complete pruned branches.

The raw material distilled for this Essential Oil is what remains after selecting the berries, or branches and berries, used to distil higher-grade essential oils (Juniper Berries Only or Juniper Berries and Branches).

Because several plant parts are used, with leaves (needles) predominating, the Essential Oil is rich in α Pinene (from 50%) and β Pinene (from 6%). It has a more herbal, woody note, less refined than an oil made entirely from berries or berries and branches.

Its source material and high yield make this wonderful oil much more affordable. However, because its biochemical composition differs, it is recommended for external use only.

How can you quickly distinguish genuine Juniper Berry oil or selected Berry and Branch oil from a common oil distilled mainly from leaves?
Simply check whether the α Pinene content (%) is above 50%, and there will be no doubt. To investigate further, quality can be assessed through optical rotation, which for this particular oil ranges from -10º to 0º. A positive value always indicates higher quality (for this specific essential oil only).
