Description

Tansy belongs to the Asteraceae family and grows wild in the Mediterranean basin and north-western Morocco. It was revered by the Egyptians and has been known since the Middle Ages for its insect- and mite-repellent properties.

The essential oil is extracted from its bright yellow flowers and is rich in chamazulene, the molecule responsible for its intense blue colour. It has a powerful, distinctive aroma.
