Description

Cetyl Alcohol MB/RSPO

A plant-derived fatty alcohol used as a co-emulsifier, consistency agent, thickener and stabiliser in emulsions, balms, conditioners, hair masks and face or body care products.

It adds body, texture and an emollient feel, helping improve the stability and final skin feel of creams, lotions and hair care formulas.

Use in formulation

Indicative use level: 0,5% - 2%. Incorporate into the hot oil phase until completely melted. Combine with the main emulsifier when greater consistency, stability and a nourishing feel are desired.

Precautions and storage

Keep tightly closed, preferably below 15 ºC.
It is not a complete emulsifier on its own in most emulsions; it acts as a co-emulsifier and structuring agent.
Validate stability, viscosity, sensory properties and compatibility with the chosen emulsifying system.

Solubility: Oil-soluble; incorporate into the hot oil phase.
