Æterisk cedertræsolie
Cedertræer er store træer på 25 til 50 meter. Bladene (korte, stedsegrønne nåle på 2 til 4 cm) er lidt spidse og sidder i bundter på korte kviste. Der findes flere arter, og den æteriske olie kan udvindes ved dampdestillation af de blågrønne blade (nåle) og kviste eller af bærrene (frugten).
Egenskaber
Den æteriske olie bruges mod hårtab og andre problemer såsom skæl. Den er også kendt for sine gavnlige egenskaber for fedtet hud og for at fjerne mærker efter akne eller ar. Ved dampbehandling hjælper den med luftvejsproblemer såsom bihulebetændelse, forkølelse, bronkitis eller influenza.
